Handling Data: From Logic Model to Final Report (F1)

Abstract

This popular workshop has drawn large audiences for several years. It includes new and expanded materials based on the recent webinars and customized seminars Gail Barrington has offered on this important evaluation topic. Learn how to ask the right questions, collect the right data, analyze and synthesize data effectively, present findings in useful ways, and position reports to foster knowledge translation.
Gail will share valuable and practical lessons learned from nearly thirty years of consulting experience. You will have the opportunity to work in small groups to tackle some common data collection and data handling problems. Actual work samples will be provided. At the end of the workshop, you will take away some fresh ideas and a number of useful tools and techniques for application in your program evaluation context.

Dr. Gail V. Barrington

Dr. Gail Barrington founded her consulting firm, Barrington Research Group, Inc. in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1985 and has conducted more than 130 program evaluation and applied research studies. Based on her experience, she has developed many practical ways to handling data efficiently. She has been developing the tools and techniques demonstrated in this workshop for a number of years, and updates them frequently to increase their effectiveness.
